Overview
Before you sign up for the RPG it is recommended you read through the information and rules. It may also be a good idea to look or skim through the FAQ to see if it answers any questions you may have. In order to join us here at Swords Honor simply fill out This Form. All of the information you need to fill it out is located in the links on the left. We've provided an explanation here on this page for each field you'll be required to fill out and an example. The administration asks that you also fill in the optional "Sample Roleplaying Post" box on the form; this is for purposes of identifying where you'll fit on the site so that when you've joined us we can better help you find a niche. If you find a niche or establish character goals. This will help us keep you around and ensure that your experience is the best you've ever had.
If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to message User:Evren, User:Kiara, User:Jack, User:Coyote. Other staff members are available, as well, to answer your questions.
Join Form
This is a nice little form we've created that will help us keep spammers off our boards and expedite your character approval process. Below is an explanation of all the fields and links to resources you may need to fill them out.
Alternatively you may create an account on the Forum and post in our Join Board (Note: You will not be able to post in this forum unless you've signed up for an account on the boards). Just like the Join Form your character sheet will be evaluated by the staff and approved accordingly. After such time your account should be activated (from 'validating' to 'member') by an Administrator usually within about 1-8 hours depending on where our Admins are hiding out.
The rigorous account approval procedure is in place to discourage and prevent spammers from getting onto our board and filling it with advertisements. Additional it helps us guide newer players from the first minute they're on the site: ensuring they understand the same rules everyone is expected to follow.
Filling out the form
Name: Put in your character name. We don't care what your real name is just yet.
Age: Character's age.
Height: in feet or cm (ex. 5'8")
Weight: in pounds or kilograms (ex. 160LBS)
Gender: (Male/Female)
Race: (See Races)
Class: (Please choose one and only of the base classes)
Alignment: (Righteous, Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic, or Wicked) Players chose a single alignment, not a combination.
Character Description: Describe how your character appears. Try to mention any notable physical features, build, facial shape and general colorization, for starters.
Biography: Where do you hail from? What makes you who you are? This can be short if there isn't a lot of history, but if someone's roleplaying with you, is there something about your character that's important to know?
Quote: (Optional) What witty remark do you say? "I'll be back!" "Say your prayers." "I love lamp." Whatever it is, put it here.
Starting Weapon: (Choose one: Simple Sword, Worn Gloves, Basic Axe, Wooden Staff, Simple Bow, Basic Spear, Simple Dagger, Basic Katana, Basic Hammer, or you may ask a staff member for approval of a more specific named weapon if desired)
You have 200 points to distribute between these stats, you may wish to reserve some of these points for your class techniques (distributed upon first Training or upon creation of roster page):
Strength: (How strong your character is)
Defense: (How well your character can defend against attacks and absorb hits)
Speed: (How fast your character can run in a straight line or execute basic movements)
Agility: (How well your character can change direction and adjust position.)
Skill: (How well your character can use his/her weapons)
Chakra: (How powerful your character's spirit is. Particularly affects your character's ability to use magic, or special abilities)
E-Mail: Put an E-Mail we can reach you at. If you don't want to put it up, for privacy reasons, that is acceptable, but it helps us get in contact with you if there's a problem.
AIM: Most of us use AIM to talk, so if you've got it, put it up. Referred by: Mention someone, and you'll both get a bonus for starting up!
Sample Roleplay: Show us what you've got - put up a sample of your writing, preferably in third person, and please use proper spacing and punctuation. If you need help with this, PM or IM a staff member.

- Character Description
- Of an average height and steady build, Edward is what most would consider to be fairly nondescript. He has short, black hair, that is thinning at an early age. As a result he has a fairly pronounced widow's peak. Under his bulbous nose, a curled black mustache curls up to touch on his sharp cheek bones. He has a pair of startling green eyes, probably the only thing that is notable about him.

- From the outer reaches of Chyrellos, Edward hails from the small village of Chestersfield, to the east of the city. He was born and raised there, and became a chemist shortly after leaving his father's brewery. A bit old to be setting off, he seeks to simply increase his knowledge of potions and tinctures. He's a bit of an alcoholic, and should be kept out of bars.

Sample RP:
Adjusting his collar carefully, Edward shouted out to his friend, Jace, down the hall, "I need some help in here, if you expect us to get out on the road in good time!"
They were on their way to a meeting with Fraison's Brewery, in Gilgose. Edward had brewed up a new drink, it was potent but fruity, and he was hoping he could sell the recipe. Jace insisted it was crap, but Edward knew with the right marketing, things would work out for it.
Jace came down the hall, his steps echoing off the walls, and came to a stop, his head peeking into the door frame. "Edward, we needed to leave half an hour ago to make that appointment on time."
Edward smiled smoothly, and flicked at his mustache. Reaching into his coat pocket, he pulled out two vials. Both had a winged foot scrawled on them. "Here we go, drink this."
"Oh no Edward, I'm not drinking your potion of fleet foot. That stuff gives you the runs in more way than one."
Edward grinned, and grabbed Jace by the hair, and pulled his head backwards. Quickly he pulled the cork out with his teeth, and poured the liquid into Jace's mouth. Setting the bottles on his dresser, he pinched Jace's nose, and forced the man to swallow it down. They'd make it in time alright.
